Backing up over the network

Hi all,

I've just taken a backup of /Medic on the AIX box, using tar and ssh.
The command I ran was:

  # tar cvf - /Medic | ssh bmarshal@carmack "cat - > /spare/medic.tar"

This command line can obviously be modified to reflect a different
destination, if desired.
